Not only the service life of the tyres, but also to a large extent the level of comfort and safety depends on the quality of the tyres and how carefully the tyre pressure is maintained.

Checking Tire Pressure

Check the tyre pressure, including that of the compact spare wheel, at least twice a month and each time before a long journey. Incorrect tyre pressure adversely affects vehicle handling, increases the risk of tyre damage and may lead to an accident.◄

After correcting the tyre pressure, initialise the tyre damage indicator.◄

Tire Pressure Specifications

The recommended tire air pressures at room temperature are shown on the door pillar label. To view them, open the driver's door.

Tire pressure when towing a trailer

When towing a trailer, use the values specified for the vehicle at maximum load.

Tire Size

The pressure values apply only to tires of the sizes and brands

that BMW recommends for use on your vehicle, available from a BMW Service Center.
