Snow Chains

BMW has tested and approved only certain link-type snow chains as safe and recommends them for use.
Your BMW Service Center can provide information on these.
They may only be used with winter tires and on both rear wheels at the same time.
When installing chains, observe the instructions of the chain manufacturer. With snow chains fitted, the maximum permitted driving speed is 50 km/h.
Snow chains must not be fitted to 245/45 R 17 tires.
After installing snow chains, do not reset the tire pressure loss warning indicator, otherwise it may give a false alarm.
When driving with anti-skid chains, it may be advisable to switch on DTC for a while.◄
