Fuses

The rating of a new fuse must be the same as the rating of the fuse being replaced.

Some main fuses are located in the box above the positive battery terminal. If necessary, have them checked at a service center.

Before replacing a fuse, switch off the corresponding circuit and the ignition.

A blown fuse can be recognized by its melted fuse wire. Before installing a new fuse, correct the cause of the fault.

Some systems are protected by several fuses.

Even if a given function or system does not work, the corresponding fuse may still be present.

Note Some fuse descriptions in this manual may not match the fuse layout of a particular vehicle version.

When checking the fuses, check the label on the box cover.

Fuse puller for small fuses

The engine compartment fuse box may contain a fuse puller.

Place the fuse puller on the fuse from the top or the side, then pull out the fuse.
