To prepare the vehicle for use after a long period out of service:

  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal to the vehicle's electrical system.

    Reactivate the electronic components of the power windows.

  • Check the tire pressure.
  • Fill the windshield washer fluid reservoir.
  • Check the engine oil level.
  • Check the coolant level.
  • If necessary, reattach the license plate.
