Long-Term Storage

If the vehicle will not be used for several months:

• Wash the vehicle and apply wax.

• Check the wax coating in the engine compartment and on the underbody.

• Clean and protect the rubber seals.

• Replace the engine oil.

• Drain the fluid from the windshield washer reservoir.

• Check the condition of the antifreeze and corrosion protection.

• Set the tire pressure to the value specified for full load.

• Leave the vehicle in a dry, well-ventilated place. Engage first gear or reverse, or set the selector lever to P. Take measures to prevent the vehicle from rolling.

• Do not apply the parking brake.

• Open the hood, close all doors and lock the vehicle.

• Disconnect the clamp from the negative terminal of the vehicle battery. Make sure that all systems, including the anti-theft system, are disabled.
