Service and Maintenance

Additional Maintenance

~1min read

Additional Operations

Additional operations do not have to be performed at every maintenance service, but they can be included in scheduled maintenance. The time required for these operations is not included in the standard maintenance labor time, so they are charged separately. However, performing these operations together with scheduled maintenance costs less than performing them separately.

Severe Operating Conditions

Operating conditions are considered severe if one or more of the following conditions frequently occur when using the vehicle:

• Cold starts,

• Frequent stop-and-go driving,

• Towing a trailer,

• Mountain roads or driving at high altitudes,

• Poor road surfaces,

• Sand and dust,

• Sudden temperature changes.

Police vehicles, driving school vehicles and taxis are considered to operate under extremely severe conditions.

When operating under very severe conditions, maintenance may need to be performed more often than the standard schedules specify.

For information on the required maintenance intervals and procedures, refer to a service advisor.
