The driver's window lifter is fitted with an anti-trapping system.

The window switches remain active for about 45 seconds after the ignition is switched off, or until a door is opened. If a door is opened within these 45 seconds while closing or lowering a window, the window will stop. Window control is restored only when the ignition is switched on.

Passenger's electric window

Press the switch or
pull it towards you. The window stops when the switch is released.

Driver's sequential electric window

There are two possibilities:


  • manual mode
  • Press the switch or pull it without passing the detent. The window stops when the switch is released.
  • automatic mode
  • Press the switch or pull it past the detent. The window opens or closes fully after the switch is released.
  • Pressing again stops the window movement.

Anti-trapping system

The driver's sequential electric window is fitted with an anti-trapping function.

If the window meets resistance (an obstacle) while closing, it stops immediately and partially lowers.

If a window unexpectedly lowers while closing (for example in frost), proceed as follows:
  • Press the control past the detent and release it; the window will open fully.
  • then pull the switch without going past the resistance point until the window is fully closed,
  • hold the switch for approximately one second after the window has closed. During these operations, the anti-pinch function is inactive.

Restoring operation

If the system does not operate correctly, reinitialise the window lifters as follows:

  • release the control switch and press it again until the window is fully closed,
  • hold for one second after closing,
  • press the switch to lower the window automatically.

During these operations, the anti-pinch function is inactive.

Always remove the key from the ignition when leaving the vehicle, even for a short time. If a window becomes jammed while operating the window lifter, reverse the direction of the window. To do so, press the appropriate switch. If the driver operates the passenger window, they should make sure that nobody prevents the window from closing properly. Take special care with children when operating electric windows.
