Panda uconnect App

~7min read

To use the Panda Uconnect app, you must download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play and pair your smartphone with the radio via Bluetooth, as described in the chapter "Bluetooth Device". For the list of compatible phones, refer to the Fiat elum website.

The app interface may change depending on how it is used: connected to the car radio or not connected.

When connected via Bluetooth, you can interact with the radio through your smartphone screen.

You can listen to your favourite music by selecting the source, track or radio station you want. You can also view the phone book, the vehicle handbook and, if needed, call assistance.

When not connected, you can get information on the status of your vehicle with my:Car and information on your driving style with eco:Drive.

You can also easily find your car if you do not remember where it was parked.

WARNING 187) A volume that is too high may be dangerous for the driver and for other people in traffic. Always adjust the volume so that you can still hear the sounds of the surrounding environment.

188) Using some of the system's functions while driving may distract your attention from the road, with the risk of causing accidents or other serious consequences. They must therefore only be used when driving conditions allow it and, if necessary, only with the vehicle stationary.

189) Read and follow these instructions: before using the system, read and follow all the instructions and safety information provided in this handbook. Failure to observe the precautions contained in this handbook may cause accidents or other serious consequences.

190) Keep the handbook in the vehicle: if kept in the vehicle, the handbook becomes an easy and quick reference for users who are not familiar with the system. Make sure that anyone who has access to the handbook reads its instructions and safety information carefully before using the system for the first time.

191) Warning: using the system while driving may distract your attention from the road, with the associated risk of accidents or other serious consequences.

While driving, do not change the system settings or enter data non-verbally (i.e. using the manual controls). Before carrying out these operations, stop the vehicle safely and in compliance with the Highway Code.

Taking these precautions is important because setting or changing some functions could lead the driver to become distracted from the road and to take their hands off the steering wheel.

192) Voice commands: the system's functions can be operated using voice control only. Using voice-control commands while driving allows you to operate the system without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

193) Prolonged display viewing: while driving, do not consult any function that requires prolonged attention to the display. Pull over safely and in compliance with the Highway Code before consulting any system function that requires prolonged attention. Even occasional quick glances at the display can be dangerous if the driver's attention is diverted from driving at a critical moment.

194) Volume setting: do not turn the volume up excessively. While driving, keep the volume at a level that allows you to hear external traffic and emergency signals. Driving without being able to hear these sounds may cause accidents.

195) Use of Voice Recognition: voice recognition software is based on a statistical process that is subject to errors. It is your responsibility to monitor the voice-recognition functions allowed by the system and to correct any errors.

196) Distraction hazards: some functions may require manual settings (not by voice commands).

Carrying out these settings or entering data while driving may seriously distract your attention, causing accidents or serious consequences.

Before carrying out these operations, stop the vehicle safely and in compliance with the Highway Code.

Radio equipment directive 2014/53/EU

All radio equipment fitted to the vehicle complies with Directive 2014/53/EU. For more information, visit www.mopar.eu/owner or http://aftersales.fiat.com/elum/

WARNING

INTERIOR EQUIPMENT

  • Do not travel with the glovebox open: it could injure the passenger in the event of an accident.
  • The cigar lighter reaches high temperatures. Handle with care and keep children away from it: risk of fire or burns. Always check that the cigar lighter has been switched off.

ROOF RACK / SKI RACK

  • After driving a few kilometres, check that the fixing screws of the brackets are securely tightened.
  • Never exceed the maximum permitted loads (see chapter "Technical Data").
  • Distribute the load evenly and, when driving, take into account the increased sensitivity of the vehicle to crosswinds.

RADIO PREPARATION SYSTEM

  • If you intend to install a radio after purchasing the vehicle, first contact the Fiat Service Network, which will be able to advise you, in order to protect battery life. Excessive no-load current draw damages the battery and may void the battery warranty.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

  • During operation, the catalytic converter and diesel particulate filter (DPF) reach high temperatures: do not park the vehicle on flammable material (grass, dry leaves, pine needles, etc.): risk of fire.

INTERIOR

  • Never use flammable products such as petroleum ether or rectified petrol to clean the interior of the vehicle. Electrostatic charges generated by rubbing during cleaning may cause fires.
  • Do not keep aerosol cans in the vehicle: risk of explosion. Aerosol cans must not be exposed to temperatures above 50 °C. Inside a vehicle parked in the sun, the temperature can far exceed this value.

FUEL SYSTEM

  • Modifications or repairs to the fuel system carried out incorrectly and without regard to the technical characteristics of the system may cause malfunctions and risk of fire.

LOADING GUIDELINES (Panda VAN versions)

  • In case of sudden braking or occasional impacts, a sudden shift of the load may endanger the driver and passenger: before driving, always secure the load firmly, using the divider partition and, where provided, the dedicated hooks. For securing, use cables, ropes or straps of adequate strength for the weight of the material to be fixed.

WARNING

ROOF RACK / SKI RACK

  • Strictly observe the current legal regulations concerning maximum dimensions.

RADIO PREPARATION SYSTEM

  • For connection to the radio preparation system, contact the Fiat Service Network to prevent any possible malfunction that could compromise vehicle safety.

BODYWORK

  • To keep the paintwork's appearance intact, do not use abrasive and/or polishing products for vehicle care.
  • At car washes, avoid brush or roller washing. Wash the vehicle by hand only, using pH-neutral cleaning products; dry it with a dampened chamois leather. Do not use abrasive and/or polishing products for vehicle care. Bird droppings must be washed off immediately and carefully, as their acidity is particularly aggressive. Avoid parking the vehicle under trees (unless essential); remove vegetable resin deposits immediately, since once dried they may require abrasive and/or polishing products for removal, which are strongly discouraged as they can alter the matt characteristic of the paint. For cleaning the front windscreen and rear window, do not use undiluted windscreen washer fluid; dilute it with water to at least 50%. Limit the use of undiluted windscreen washer fluid to cases strictly required by outside temperature conditions.

INTERIOR

  • Do not use alcohol, petrol or their derivatives to clean the instrument cluster lens and the dashboard.

WARNING

BODYWORK

  • Detergents pollute water. Wash the vehicle only in areas equipped for collecting and treating the liquids used for washing.
