Radio
The car radio has been designed to the specific characteristics of the passenger compartment, with a custom design that blends with the style of the instrument panel.
Tips
Road safety
We recommend learning how to use the various car radio functions (for example storing stations) before starting to drive.
Care and maintenance
Clean the faceplate only with a soft, antistatic cloth. Cleaning and polishing products may damage its surface.
Anti-theft protection
The car radio is fitted with an anti-theft system based on the exchange of information between the car radio and the electronic control unit (Body Computer) fitted to the vehicle.
This system guarantees maximum security and avoids having to enter the secret code after each disconnection of the car radio power supply.
If the check is successful, the car radio will start to work, whereas if the comparison codes do not match, or if the electronic control unit (Body Computer) is replaced, the unit will inform the user that the secret code must be entered according to the procedure described in the following paragraph.
Entering the secret code When the car radio is switched on, if a code is requested, the display shows "Radio code" for about 2 seconds, followed by four dashes "- - - -".
The secret code consists of four digits from 1 to 6, each corresponding to one of the dashes.
To enter the first digit of the code, press the corresponding preset station button (from 1 to 6).
Enter the other digits of the code in the same way.
If the four digits are not entered within 20 seconds, the display shows "Enter code - - - -".
This event is not counted as an incorrect code entry.
After the fourth digit is entered (within 20 seconds), the radio starts to operate.
If an incorrect code is entered, the radio emits an audible signal and the display shows "Radio blocked/wait" to tell the user to enter the correct code.
Each time the user enters an incorrect code, the waiting time increases progressively (1 min, 2 min, 4 min, 8 min, 16 min, 30 min, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h, 16 h, 24 h) up to a maximum of 24 hours.
The waiting time is shown on the display with the message "Radio blocked/ wait". After the message disappears, the code entry procedure can be started again.
Radio passport This is the document that certifies ownership of the radio. The radio passport shows the radio model, the serial number and the secret code.
WARNING Keep the radio passport in a safe place so that the data can be provided to the competent authorities in case the radio is stolen.
If the radio passport is lost, contact the Fiat Service Network, bringing an identity document and the vehicle ownership documents.
