Removal and Installation - Crankcase Ventilation Tube

Removal

1. 1
   1. Remove the engine appearance cover nut.

   2. Place your hand under the engine outer cover at each grommet and push straight up to release each grommet from the stud.

   3. After all bushings are removed from the studs, remove the engine appearance cover from the engine.

   Disconnect the quick-connect couplings and remove the crankcase ventilation tube.
   Refer to: Quick-Connect Coupling (310-00G).

   

Installation

   To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   1. If the engine external cover stud is loosened or removed, it must be installed/tightened in the valve cover.
      Torque: 106 lb-in (12 N·m)

   2. Position the engine appearance cover on the engine so that the bushings are aligned with the studs.

   3. Press down on the engine appearance cover at each bushing location to attach the bushings to the studs.

   4. Install the engine external cover nut.
      Torque: 71 lb-in (8 N·m)
