Removal
- Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions (100-00 General Information, Description and Operation).
- Refer to: Coil-on-Plug Ignition Coil (303-07C Engine Ignition, Removal and Installation).
NOTICE: Do not remove the spark plugs when the engine is hot or cold-soaked. This may cause damage to the spark plug threads or the cylinder head. Make sure the engine is warm (touch-warm to the hand) before removing the spark plugs.
NOTICE: Use only hand tools when removing or installing the spark plug, otherwise damage to the cylinder head or spark plug may occur.
NOTICE: The spark plug sequence must be followed exactly, or damage to the cylinder head and spark plug will result.
NOTICE: The spark plug must be held securely in the assembly tool to prevent the spark plug from dropping into the spark plug well, which may damage the spark plug or cylinder head.
NOTICE: Dropping the spark plug may cause internal damage to it. As a result, the spark plug must be discarded. Using a damaged spark plug may cause engine damage.
