Overview
The rear suspension consists of the following components:
- Coil springs
- Lower Arm and Bushings Assembly
- Stabilizer bar and links
- Toe links
- Upper arms
- Lower Arm Vertical Links
- Wheel bearings and hub assembly
- Steering knuckles
- Wheel studs
- Suspension Height Sensor
- Continuously Controlled Dampers
The rear suspension uses 2 parallel arms (1 upper and 1 lower). Each arm has a mounting position on the chassis and an attachment to the knuckle. This suspension allows the wheels to react to road irregularities independently of each other. The shock absorber attaches to the knuckle and, together with the spring, controls vertical movement. The stabilizer bar and links control body roll/sway.
