Removal

Negative Battery Cable

  1. If equipped, remove the battery monitor sensor.
    Refer to: Battery Monitor Sensor (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).
    1. Remove the nut.
      Torque: 44 lb-in (5 N·m)
    1. Remove the bolt and the negative battery cable.
      Torque: 115 lb-in (13 N·m)

Positive battery cable

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  2. On vehicles with power windows, initialize the power window motor.
    Refer to: Power Window Initialization (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, General Procedures).
