Hood Latch - Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Remove the front bumper cover.
   Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).

Left-hand (LH)

   Disconnect the hood ajar switch electrical connector and set the wiring harness aside.

   Remove the hood latch.
   

   1. Remove the nuts.
      Torque: 80 lb-in (9 N·m)

   2. Disconnect the left front hood latch release cable from the left front hood latch.

   3. Remove the left front hood latch release cable from the left front hood latch and remove the left front hood latch.

   

Right-hand (RH)

4. 
   Remove the hood latch.
   
   1. Remove the nuts.
      Torque: 80 lb-in (9 N·m)
   2. Disconnect the right front hood latch release cable from the right front hood latch.
   3. Remove the right hood latch release cable from the right front hood latch and remove the right front hood latch.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
