Perimeter Anti-Theft - Overview. Description and Operation

Overview

The perimeter alarm prevents unauthorized entry into the vehicle by sounding the horn and flashing all turn signal lamps and the courtesy lamps. When unauthorized entry occurs, the horn and lamps activate for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, the horn stops sounding, but the lamps continue to flash for up to 5 minutes.

The panic alarm operates similarly to the perimeter alarm, but is activated only by the panic button on the RKE transmitter.
