Compass and Clock

Compass

The vehicle may have a compass. The compass information is displayed on the Driver Information Center (DIC). The compass receives its heading and other information from the Global Positioning System (GPS) antenna, the StabiliTrak/Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system, and the vehicle speed information.

The compass system is designed to operate for a certain number of miles or degrees of turn before it needs a signal from GPS satellites. When the compass display shows CAL, drive the vehicle a short distance in an open area where it can receive a GPS signal. The compass system automatically detects when the GPS signal is restored and provides the heading again.

Clock
