This vehicle may be equipped with an integrated in-vehicle system that can connect to OnStar advisors for emergency, security, navigation, connection, and diagnostic services. OnStar services may require a paid service plan and a data plan. OnStar requires the vehicle battery and electrical system, cellular service, and GPS satellite signals to be available and operational. OnStar acts as a link to emergency service providers. OnStar may collect information about you and your vehicle, including location information. The OnStar system status indicator light is located next to the OnStar buttons. If the status indicator light is:

Solid green: The system is ready.

Flashing green: A call is in progress.

Red: Indicates a problem.

The voice command button functionality may vary depending on the vehicle and region.

  • Open the OnStar application on the infotainment display. See the infotainment manual for information on how to use the OnStar application.

Or

  • Press to place a call, end a call, or answer an incoming call.
  • OnStar hands-free calling voice commands.
  • Give OnStar turn-by-turn navigation voice commands.
  • Obtain and configure the Wi-Fi hotspot name, or SSID, and password, if equipped.

  • Confirm account information or update contact information.
  • Get driving directions.
  • Get a vehicle diagnostic check of vehicle systems.
  • Get roadside assistance.
  • Manage Wi-Fi settings, if equipped.

PressGMC Terrain. OnStar OverviewGet priority connection to an available OnStar Advisor 24/7 at:

  1. Get emergency assistance.
  2. Be a Good Samaritan or respond to an AMBER Alert.
  3. Get assistance in severe weather or other crisis situations and find evacuation routes.
