4. When using the jack, stop the engine.
5. Do not get under a vehicle supported by the jack.

7. While supporting the vehicle, the jack base plate must be positioned vertically under the jacking point.
8. Select reverse gear on vehicles with a manual transmission, or move the shift lever to P (Park) on vehicles with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) or dual clutch transmission.
