CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID VALVE
INSPECTION
Always make alignment marks on the vacuum hoses before disconnecting them, so that they can be reconnected to their original positions.
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the canister purge solenoid valve.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the solenoid valve.
3. Connect a hand-operated vacuum pump to the solenoid valve port from which the hose with the red stripe was disconnected.
4. Apply vacuum and check valve operation while connecting / disconnecting battery voltage to the solenoid valve terminals.
| Battery voltage | Normal Condition |
| Applied | Vacuum decreases |
| Not applied | Vacuum is maintained |

5. Measure the resistance between the solenoid valve terminals.
