Airbag Warning Light and Seat Belt Reminder Light
Airbag Warning Light

This indicator light illuminates:
• When you turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
-- The airbag warning light illuminates for approximately 6 seconds, then turns off after all checks are completed.
• The airbag warning light will remain on if there is a malfunction in the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbag system.
In this case, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Seat Belt Reminder Light

This indicator light informs the driver that the seat belt is not fastened.
Parking Brake and Brake Fluid Warning Light

This indicator light illuminates:
• When you turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
-- The parking brake warning light illuminates for approximately 3 seconds, then turns off once the parking brake is released.
• Whenever the parking brake is applied.
• Whenever the brake fluid level in the reservoir is low.
-- If the warning light remains on with the parking brake released, it indicates that the brake fluid level in the reservoir is low.
If the brake fluid level in the reservoir is low:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe location and stop the vehicle.
2. With the engine off, check the brake fluid level immediately and add fluid as necessary (For more information, refer to "Brake Fluid" in chapter 9). After adding brake fluid, check all brake system components for fluid leakage. If brake fluid leakage is detected, if the warning light remains on, or if the brakes do not operate properly, do not drive the vehicle. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Dual Diagonal Brake System
Your vehicle is equipped with a dual diagonal brake system. This means you still have braking on two wheels even if one of the dual systems fails.
With only one of the dual systems operating, the brake pedal travels farther than normal and more force is required on the pedal to stop the vehicle.
If the brakes fail while driving, shift to a lower gear to use engine braking and stop the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so.
WARNING
Parking Brake and Brake Fluid Warning Light
Driving the vehicle with the warning light ON is dangerous. If the parking brake and brake fluid warning light illuminates with the parking brake released, it indicates that the brake fluid level is low.
In this case, have the vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
