This indicator light illuminates:

• When you turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

-- The ABS warning light illuminates for approximately 3 seconds, then turns off.

• Whenever there is a malfunction in the ABS.

Note that the hydraulic braking system will still operate even if there is a malfunction in the ABS.
