Hyundai Genesis DH
The second-generation Hyundai Genesis is a bold step forward for Hyundai, continuing to build on the successful strategy of marketing its premium models under the Hyundai brand rather than through a costly separate luxury sales channel. Genesis is Hyundai's new flagship sedan, featuring Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and an advanced mixed-material body structure.
The Hyundai Genesis uses a revised platform to accommodate the new available HTRAC® all-wheel-drive system, which does not share components with the previous generation. The platform uses even more advanced high-strength steel, which now accounts for more than 50 percent of the platform's composition. The benefits of strategic use of high-strength steel are clear: torsional rigidity is 16% higher and bending rigidity is 40% higher compared with the well-known first-generation architecture. As a result, the new Genesis has greater torsional and bending rigidity than the BMW 5-Series.
