Inspection

  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Turn on the headlamp switch.
  3. Check that the headlamp angle changes smoothly when the headlamp leveling device switch is operated.
  4. If it does not operate properly, check the connector and terminals to make sure they are connected. If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary and recheck the system. If the terminal is in good condition, go to step 5.
  5. Replace the headlamp assembly and check for proper operation.

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the headlamp leveling height link (A) installed on the rear left axle.
  3. Remove the headlamp leveling device assembly by disconnecting the unit connector (A) and loosening the mounting bolts (B).

    Tightening torque: 2.9 ~ 4.9 N·m

Installation

  1. Install the headlamp leveling device.
  2. Connect the headlamp leveling device connector.
