Component Location

The windshield de-icer system prevents the windshield from freezing in winter. It consists of a de-icer at the lower part of the windshield, a switch, and a relay. The Body Control Module receives an input signal from the front heater switch and then controls the relay. When the front heater switch is on and the engine is running with the generator on, the windshield de-icer operates at maximum for 20 minutes.
