Description

The ECM (electrochromic inside rearview mirror) helps reduce glare from vehicles behind you at night so that the driver is not dazzled. The front sensor measures the ambient brightness, while the rear sensor measures the intensity of the reflected light, and the mirror adjusts its reflectance within a range of 7 - 85%. However, it stops operating when reverse gear is engaged.
  1. The front sensor determines if the ambient brightness is low enough for the rearview mirror to operate.
  2. The rear sensor detects glare reflected from the vehicle behind.
  3. The ECM dims until it reaches the level determined by the rear sensor. When glare is no longer detected, the mirror stops operating. 1. Indicator LED 2. ON/OFF switch 3. Rear sensor 4. Front sensor

Auto headlight function

To protect your vision when driving at night, the rearview mirror automatically switches to the dimmed position when glare from vehicles behind you is detected. The auto-dimming function can be controlled with the headlight ON/OFF button:
  1. Press and hold the function control button for more than 3 seconds but less than 6 seconds. The auto headlight function is turned off and the green status LED turns off.
  2. Press and hold the function control button again for more than 3 seconds but less than 6 seconds. The auto headlight function is turned on and the green status LED turns on.
