Practical Features of Your Vehicle

Anti-Theft System

~2min read

This system protects your vehicle and valuables. The horn sounds and the hazard warning lights flash continuously in the following cases:

- A door is opened without using the remote transmitter or smart key.
- The trunk lid is opened without using the remote transmitter or smart key.
- The hood is opened.

The alarm sounds continuously for 30 seconds, then the system resets. To deactivate the alarm, unlock the doors using the remote transmitter or the key fob.

The security alarm system is armed 30 seconds after you lock the doors and the trunk. To arm the system, lock the doors and the tailgate from outside the vehicle with the remote key or smart key, or press the outside door handle button while carrying the smart key.

The hazard warning lights will flash and the horn will sound once to indicate that the system is armed.

After the security system is armed, opening a door, the trunk lid, or the hood without using the remote key or smart key will trigger the alarm.

The security system will not arm automatically if the hood, tailgate, or any door is not fully closed. If the system does not arm, make sure the hood, tailgate, and doors are fully closed.

Do not attempt to modify the system or add other peripheral devices.

Intelligent

  • Do not lock the doors until all passengers have left the vehicle. If a passenger remains in the vehicle and leaves while the system is armed, the alarm will sound.
  • If the vehicle alarm does not turn off with the remote key or smart key, unlock the doors with the mechanical key, turn the ignition switch to ON (for remote key) or start the engine (for smart key), and wait 30 seconds.
  • After the system is disarmed, if no door or trunk lid is opened within 30 seconds, the system will re-arm.

Vehicles equipped with the alarm system will have a warning label with the following words:

1. WARNING
2. SECURITY SYSTEM
