Indicators and Warning Lights
Information - Warning Lights
Make sure all warning lights turn off after starting the engine. If a warning light remains on, find out why.
Airbag Warning Light

This warning light illuminates in the following cases:
- When the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop button is in the ON position.

- If the warning light remains on when the parking brake is released, this indicates that the brake fluid level is low.
If the brake fluid level in the reservoir is low:
1. Drive carefully until you find a safe place to stop the vehicle.
2. With the engine off, immediately check the brake fluid level and add fluid if necessary (for more information, refer to "Brake Fluid" in Chapter 7). Then check the brake system components for fluid leaks.
Do not drive the vehicle again if there is a leak, the warning light remains on, or the brakes do not operate properly. In this case, we recommend having the vehicle towed to an authorized and certified HYUNDAI dealer.
Diagonal Dual-Circuit Brake System
Your vehicle is equipped with a diagonal dual-circuit brake system. This means that if one part of the dual brake system fails, the brakes will still operate on two wheels.
When only one part of the dual system is operating, the brake pedal will travel farther than normal, and you will need to press harder to stop the vehicle.
In addition, the vehicle will not stop as quickly as usual if only part of the dual brake system is operating.
If the brakes fail while driving, use engine braking to increase the braking effect and stop the vehicle in a safe place.
WARNING
Parking Brake and Brake Fluid Warning Light
It is dangerous to drive the vehicle with the light on. If the parking brake and brake fluid warning light is on, it indicates low brake fluid level.
In this case, we recommend that you have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

In this case, we recommend that you have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
Oil Level Indicator

The engine oil level warning light illuminates when it is time to check the engine oil level.
If the light illuminates, check the engine oil level as soon as possible, and then add oil if necessary. Slowly pour in the recommended oil, a little at a time, through a funnel (engine oil capacity: approximately 0.6 ~ 1.0 ℓ). Approximately 0.6 ~ 1 L)
Use only the specified engine oil. (Refer to the "Recommended Lubricants and Capacities" section in Chapter 8.) Do not overfill the engine oil. Make sure the oil level is not above the F (Full) mark on the dipstick.
Intelligent
- The warning light will go off after approximately 50-100 km of driving, once the engine is warm after adding engine oil.
- Turn the ignition key from the OFF position to the ON position three times within 10 seconds, and the light will turn off immediately. However, if you drive without adding engine oil, it will illuminate again after approximately 50-100 km with the engine warm.
NOTICE
If the warning light remains on after adding engine oil and driving approximately 50 to 100 km with the engine warm, we recommend that you have your vehicle's system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

If the warning light remains on after adding oil, or if oil is not available, we recommend that you have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
NOTE: Oil Pressure Warning Light
- If you do not stop the engine immediately after the oil pressure warning light illuminates, you risk causing serious engine damage.
- If the warning light remains on while the engine is running, it indicates possible serious engine damage or malfunction. In this case,
1. Stop as soon as it is safe to do so.
2. Stop the engine and check the oil level. If the oil level is low, fill the engine oil reservoir.
3. Start the engine again. If the light remains on while the engine is running, stop the engine immediately. In this case, we recommend that you have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Low tire pressure warning lamp

This warning light illuminates in the following cases:
- When the engine START/STOP button is in the ON position.
- Illuminates for approximately 3 seconds, then turns off. - If one or more of your tires is significantly under-inflated (the location of the under-inflated tire(s) is displayed on the LCD screen).
For more details, refer to the "Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)" section in Chapter 6.
