Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Disconnect the ignition coil connector (A).
  4. Remove the ignition coil (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.

Installation

  1. Install in the reverse order of removal. Ignition coil mounting bolt: 9.8–11.8 N·m

Inspection

  1. Measure the primary coil resistance between terminals 2 and 4.

    Standard value: 0.56 Ω ± 10% 20 °C
