Low Tire Pressure Warning

Low Tire Pressure LCD Position Indicator

When the Tire Pressure Monitoring System warning light illuminates and a warning message appears on the cluster LCD, one or more of your tires is significantly underinflated. The LCD position indicator will show which tire is significantly underinflated by illuminating the corresponding position light.
If any of your tire pressure values is indicated as low, reduce speed immediately, avoid sharp turns, and expect increased braking distances. You should stop and check your tires as soon as possible. Inflate the tires to the correct pressure specified on the tire and loading information label located on the center of the driver's side door pillar.
If you cannot reach a service station or if the tire cannot hold the newly added air, replace the under-inflated tire with the spare tire.
The Low Tire Pressure LCD position indicator will remain on, and the TPMS Malfunction Indicator may flash for one minute and then remain on until the low tire pressure is corrected or the tire is replaced on the vehicle.
NOTICE
The spare tire is not equipped with a tire pressure sensor.
CAUTION
In winter or cold weather, the Low Tire Pressure telltale may illuminate if the tire pressure was adjusted to the recommended tire pressure in warm weather. This does not mean that your TPMS is malfunctioning, because a drop in temperature causes a proportional decrease in tire pressure.
When you drive your vehicle from a warm area to a cold area, or from a cold area to a warm area, or if the outside temperature changes significantly, you should check the tire pressure and adjust the tires to the recommended tire pressure.
WARNING
Low Tire Pressure Damage
Significantly low tire pressure causes the vehicle to be unstable and may lead to loss of vehicle control and increased braking distance.
Continued driving on a low tire may cause the tire to overheat and fail.
