Starter Relay

Repair Procedures

Inspection

1. 1
   Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

   Remove the fuse block cover.

   Remove the starter relay (A).

   Using an ohmmeter, check the continuity between terminals (30 and 87).

   Terminal	Resistance	Tester connection
   30 - 87	1 MΩ or higher	Check circuit continuity between terminals. If not continuous, replace the relay.

   Apply 12 V to terminal 85 and ground terminal 86, then check for continuity between terminals 30 and 87.

   Terminal	Resistance	Tester connection
   30 - 87	1 Ω or less	Check circuit continuity between terminals. If not continuous, replace the relay.

   Install the starter relay.

   Install the fuse block cover.
