Ventilated Seat

~2min read

Ventilated seats are provided to cool the front seats by airflow through small ventilation holes on the surface of the seat cushions and seatbacks.

When the ventilated seats are not needed, keep the switches in the OFF position.

With the engine running, press the switch to cool the driver's seat or front passenger seat.

NOTICE

To prevent damage to the ventilated seats:

  • Never use a solvent such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
  • Avoid spilling liquids on the front seat surfaces and seatbacks; this may block the ventilation holes and cause them to not operate properly.
  • Do not place materials such as plastic, bags, or newspapers under the seats. They may block the air intake and cause the ventilator to malfunction.
  • Do not modify the seat covers. This may damage the ventilated seat.
  • If the ventilation holes do not operate, restart the vehicle. If there is no change, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
  • Each time you press the switch, the airflow changes as follows:
  • If the switch is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds while the ventilated seat is operating, the operation will turn off.
  • The ventilated seats are in the OFF position by default whenever the ignition switch is in the ON position.
  • Auto Comfort Control (driver's seat) (if equipped)
    - The ventilated seats automatically control the seat temperature according to the ambient temperature and the climate control temperature setting when the engine is running. If the ventilated seat switch is pressed, the ventilated seats must be controlled manually. To use this feature, it must be activated from the settings menu on the AV/AVN system screen.
    - The ventilated seats are in the OFF position by default whenever the ignition switch is turned on. However, if the Auto Comfort Control function is enabled, the ventilated seats turn on and off depending on the ambient temperature and the climate control temperature setting.
