Seat Warmers

~2min read

Seat warmers are provided to warm the front seats in cold weather.

In mild weather or when the seat warmers are not needed, keep the seat warmers OFF.

WARNING

Seat warmers may cause SERIOUS BURNS, even at low temperatures and especially with prolonged use.

Passengers should feel if the seat becomes too warm, so they can turn it off if necessary.

People who cannot detect temperature changes or pain in the skin must exercise extreme caution, especially the following categories of occupants:

  • Infants, children, elderly persons, or persons with disabilities or ambulatory impairments.
  • People with sensitive skin or who burn easily.
  • Fatigued persons.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol.
  • Persons taking medications that may cause drowsiness.

WARNING

NEVER place anything on the seat that insulates against heat while the seat warmer is operating, such as a blanket or seat cushion. This may cause the seat warmer to overheat, resulting in burns or seat damage.

NOTICE

To avoid damage to the seat warmers and seat:

  • Never use a solvent such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
  • Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped with seat warmers.
  • Do not modify the seat upholstery. This may damage the seat warmers.

With the engine running, press either the driver's or front passenger's seat warmer switch.

In mild weather or when seat warmers are not needed, keep the switches in the OFF position.

• Manual Temperature Control

Each time you press the switch, the seat temperature setting changes as follows:

- Front seat

- Rear seat

• Automatic Temperature Control

The seat heater starts automatic seat temperature control to prevent low-temperature burns after it is turned on manually.

- Front seat

- Rear seat

If the HIGH temperature setting is manually selected again, the temperature will be controlled automatically.

  • If the switch is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds while the seat heater is operating, the seat heater will turn OFF.
  • The seat warmers are in the OFF position by default whenever the ignition switch is turned on.
  • Auto Comfort Control (driver's seat) (if equipped)
    - The seat warmers automatically control the seat temperature according to the ambient temperature and the climate control temperature setting when the engine is running. If the seat warmer switch is pressed, the seat warmer must be controlled manually. To use this feature, it must be activated from the settings menu on the AV/AVN system screen.
    - The seat warmers are in the OFF position by default whenever the ignition switch is turned on. However, if the Auto Comfort Control function is enabled, the driver's seat warmer turns on and off depending on the ambient temperature and the climate control temperature setting.

For more details, refer to the separate multimedia system manual provided with your vehicle.

Information

When the seat warmer switch is in the ON position, the seat warmer system turns off or on automatically depending on the seat temperature.
