COMPONENT LOCATION

The windshield defroster system prevents the windshield from freezing in winter. It includes the defroster heater at the lower part of the windshield, a contactor and a relay. The BCM receives the input signal from the front defroster switch, then checks the relay. When the defroster switch is turned on and the engine is running with the generator on, the heater operates for a maximum of 20 minutes.
