Repair Procedures

DEPOSIT

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the lower airbag panel. (Refer to Body - "Lower Instrument Panel")
  3. Remove the upper and lower steering column covers. (Refer to Body - "Steering Column Cover")
  4. Disconnect the electronic steering column lock connector (A).
  5. Remove the electronic steering column lock. (Refer to Steering System Group - Column and Shaft Direction)

REMEDY

  1. Install the electronic steering column lock.

    Tightening torque: 7.0~13.0 N·m (0.7~1.3 kgf·m, 5.0~9.4 lbf·ft)

  2. Install the steering column.
  3. Install the emergency pad lower panel.
