This gauge shows the approximate amount of fuel remaining in the fuel tank.

Information

  • The fuel tank capacity is specified in Chapter 2.
  • The fuel gauge is supplemented by a low fuel warning lamp, which illuminates when the fuel tank is nearly empty.
  • On slopes or curves, the fuel gauge pointer may fluctuate, or the low fuel warning light may come on earlier than usual due to fuel movement in the tank.

WARNING

Running out of fuel may expose the vehicle occupants to danger.

You should stop and refuel as soon as possible after the low fuel warning light comes on or when the fuel gauge pointer approaches the "E" (Empty) or 0 level.

NOTICE

Avoid driving with a very low fuel level. Running out of fuel may cause engine misfires and damage the catalytic converter.
