Around View Monitor Malfunction

If the Around View Monitor does not operate normally, the screen flickers, or the camera image is not displayed properly, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Around View Monitor Limitations

  • When the vehicle has been parked for a long time in winter or parked in an enclosed parking area, the exhaust gas may temporarily blur the image.
  • The screen may display abnormally and the icon appears at the upper left of the screen under the following conditions:
    - The rear door is open
    - The driver's or front passenger's door is open
    - The side mirror is folded

WARNING

  • ALWAYS inspect your vehicle to make sure there are no objects or obstacles before moving the vehicle. What you see on the screen may differ from the actual vehicle surroundings.
  • The image on the screen may differ from the actual distance to an object. Be sure to check directly around the vehicle for safety.
  • The Around View Monitor is designed for use on flat surfaces. Therefore, when used on roads with different heights, such as curbs and speed bumps, the image on the screen may not appear correctly.
  • Always keep the camera lens clean. If the lens is covered with foreign material, the camera performance may be affected and the Around View Monitor may not operate properly. However, do not use chemical solvents such as strong alkaline detergents or volatile organic solvents (gasoline, acetone, etc.). This may damage the lens.
