3-Point Rear Center Seat Belt

To fasten the rear center seat belt:
1. Remove the metal tongue from the opening in the belt assembly cover and slowly pull the metal tongue out of the retractor.

2. Insert the metal tongue (A) into the buckle (C). A distinct click will be heard when the tongue locks into the buckle. Make sure the belt is not twisted.

3. Pull the metal tongue (B) and insert it into the buckle (D). A click should be heard when the tongue locks into the buckle. Make sure the belt is not twisted.
The seat belt automatically adjusts to the required length after the lap belt portion is manually adjusted to fit snugly across the hips. If you lean forward slowly and gently, the belt will extend and move with you. In the event of a sudden stop or impact, the belt will lock in position. It will also lock if you attempt to lean forward too quickly.
WARNING
When using the rear center seat belt, make sure all metal tongues and buckles are locked. If any metal tongue or buckle is not locked, the risk of injury in a collision increases.
CAUTION
Make sure cargo is securely loaded in the luggage compartment. Failure to do so may damage the rear center seat belt during a sudden stop or collision.

Using the Rear Center Seat Belt
When using the rear center seat belt, ALWAYS use the buckle marked CENTER.

To unbuckle the rear center seat belt:
1. Press the release button on the buckle (D) and remove the metal tongue (B) from the buckle (D).

2. Insert a key or similar rigid tool into the webbing release hole (C). Pull out the metal tongue (A) on the buckle and allow the webbing to retract automatically.

3. Insert the metal protrusion into the opening in the belt assembly cover.

Stowing the Rear Seat Belt
The rear seat belt buckles can be stored in the pocket between the rear seatbacks and cushions when not in use.

Routing the seat belt webbing through the rear seat belt guides will prevent the belts from getting trapped behind or under the seats when the rear seats are folded down.
CAUTION
When using the seat belt, remove the seat belt webbing from the guides. Pulling the seat belt while it is stored in the guides may damage the guides and the belt webbing.
