Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the lower crash pad panel. (Refer to Group BD - "Crash Pad")
  3. Remove the steering column assembly. (Refer to Group ST - "Steering Column and Shaft")
  4. Disconnect the 5-pin connector from the SMARTRA unit, then remove the SMARTRA unit (A) by loosening the bolt. [LHD]
    [Right-hand drive]

Installation

  1. Install the immobilizer control unit after connecting the unit connector.
  2. Install the steering column assembly.
  3. Install the emergency pad lower panel.
