  • Squeeze the brake lever slowly and hold it with a band [A].
Tie-Rod Removal

  • Remove the front footpeg bracket bolts [A].
Tie-Rod Removal

  • Raise the rear wheel off the ground with the jack (see Rear Shock Absorber Removal).
Special Tools - Jack: 57001-1238 Jack Attachment: 57001-1608
  • Remove: Upper Tie-Rod Bolt and Nut [A] Lower Tie-Rod Bolt and Nut [B] Tie-Rod
    • Tie-Rod Removal

    Tie-Rod Installation

    • Replace the tie-rod nuts with new ones.
    • Apply grease to the inside of the grease seals.
    • Install the tie-rod.
    • Tighten: Torque - Tie-Rod Nuts: 34 NВ·m (3.5 kgfВ·m, 25 ftВ·lb)
