Inspection

  1. The rear window defroster switch inputs can be checked using the GDS.
  2. To check the input value of the rear window defroster switch, select the "IPM" option.
  3. To view the IPM current input/output value, select "Current DATA". Provides information on the IPM input/output conditions of the rear defroster relay.
  4. To check the input value of the rear window defroster switch in forced mode, select the "Operation Check" option.

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the center panel trim. (Refer to Body - Emergency Pad)
  3. Remove the heater control unit (A) by removing the screws (4EA).

Installation

  1. Install the heater control unit.
  2. Install the center fascia panel.
