Tires and Wheels

CAUTION

When replacing tires, use tires of the same size as originally supplied with the vehicle.

Using tires of a different size may damage related components or cause improper operation.

✽ NOTICE

  • When replacing tires, we recommend using the same tires as original equipment on the vehicle. Otherwise, handling performance may be affected.
  • When driving at high altitudes, atmospheric pressure naturally decreases. Therefore, check the tire pressure and add more air if necessary. Additionally, the required tire pressure increase per km above sea level is: 10.5 kPa (1.5 psi)/km

Recommended Lubricants and Capacities

To achieve proper engine and transmission performance and durability, use only lubricants of the proper quality. Proper lubricants also contribute to engine efficiency, which improves fuel economy.

These lubricants and fluids are recommended for use in your vehicle.

Recommended engine oil (for Europe)

Recommended SAE Viscosity Index

CAUTION

Always clean the area around the oil filler cap, drain plug or dipstick before checking or draining lubricant. This is especially important in dusty or sandy areas and when driving on unpaved roads. Cleaning the filler cap and dipstick area prevents dirt and sand from entering the engine and other mechanisms, which could be damaged.

The viscosity (thickness) of engine oil affects fuel economy and cold weather operation (engine starting and oil flow). Lower viscosity engine oils may provide better fuel economy and cold weather performance, while higher viscosity engine oils are necessary for adequate lubrication in hot weather. Using oil of any viscosity other than the recommended one may cause engine damage.

When selecting oil, consider the temperature range in which your vehicle will be operated until the next oil change. Select the recommended oil viscosity from the chart.

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is the number used when registering your vehicle and for all legal matters concerning its ownership, etc.

The number is stamped on the floor under the passenger seat. To check the number, open the cover.

The VIN is also located on a plate attached to the upper part of the instrument panel. The number on the plate is clearly visible from outside through the windshield.

Vehicle Certification Label

The vehicle certification label, attached to the driver's (or front passenger's) side center pillar, shows the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

Tire Specification and Tire Pressure Label

The tires supplied with your new vehicle are selected to provide the best performance for normal driving.

The tire label, located on the driver's side center pillar, shows the tire pressure recommended for your vehicle.

Engine Number

The engine number is stamped on the cylinder block, as shown in the illustration.

A/C Compressor Label

The compressor label provides information on the type of compressor installed in your vehicle, including model, supplier part number, serial number, refrigerant (1) and refrigerant oil (2).

Refrigerant Label

The coolant label is located on the underside of the cap.

Declaration of Conformity

The radio frequency components of the vehicle comply with the requirements and other relevant provisions of Directive 1995/5/EC.
