WARNING - Loose Objects
Do not place anything in the driver's footwell or under the front of the seat. Loose objects in the driver's footwell area may interfere with the operation of the pedals.
WARNING - Seatback Upright Position
Do not pull the manual seatback release lever without holding and controlling the seatback. The seatback will spring upright, possibly striking you or other passengers.
CAUTION - Seat Cushion
Passengers should never sit on non-original seat cushions or seat cushion accessories. Occupant's hips may slide under the lap belt during a collision or sudden stop.
WARNING - Driver's responsibility for passengers
The driver must instruct passengers to keep the seatback in an upright position whenever the vehicle is moving. If the seatback reclines during a collision, the restraint system's ability to restrain the occupant will be significantly reduced.
CAUTION - Driver's Seat
- Never attempt to adjust the seat while the vehicle is moving. This may result in loss of control of your vehicle.
- Do not allow anything to interfere with the normal position of the seatback or seatback adjustment. Stored items against the seatback may cause serious or fatal injury in a sudden stop or collision.
- Sit as far back from the steering wheel as possible while still maintaining comfortable control of your vehicle. A distance of at least 25 cm (10 inches) between your chest and the steering wheel is recommended. Failure to do so may result in injury from the driver's airbag deployment.
WARNING - Seat Adjustment
- Do not adjust the seat while wearing the seat belt. Moving the seat forward will apply strong pressure to the abdomen.
- Do not place your hand near the bottom of the seat or the seat track when adjusting the seat. Your hand may become caught in the seat mechanism.
WARNING - Small Objects
Be extremely careful when removing small objects that are stuck under the seats or between the seat and center console. Your hands may be cut or injured by sharp edges of the seat mechanism.
Seat Leather Characteristics
- Leather is made from animal hide that undergoes a special process to make it suitable for use. Since it is a natural material, the thickness and density vary from part to part. Wrinkles may appear as a natural result of stretching and contraction depending on temperature and humidity.
- The seat is made of elastic fabric for added comfort.
- The contact areas, curved surfaces and side support areas are high, providing driving comfort and stability.
- Wrinkles may appear naturally from use. This is not a product defect.
CAUTION
- Belts with metal fittings, zippers or keys in the rear pocket of trousers may damage the seat fabric.
- Be careful not to get the seat wet. This may change the characteristics of the genuine leather.
- Jeans or clothing containing bleach may stain the surface of the fabric seat covering and cause damage or discoloration.
✽ NOTICE
Wrinkles or scratches that appear naturally from use are not covered by the warranty.
