Inspection

  1. Connect battery voltage and check the rotation of the heater hose pump motor.

  2. If the heater hose pump operates poorly, replace it with a known-good heater hose pump and verify its operation.
  3. If the problem is resolved, replace the heater hose pump.

Replacement

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Disconnect the mounting clip, then remove the air duct hose assembly (A).
  3. Remove the intake air filter assembly (A).
  4. Disconnect the heater hose. (Refer to HA - "Heater")
  5. Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the heater hose pump (B).
  6. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
