Inspection

  1. The rear window defroster switch inputs can be checked using the GDS.
  2. To inspect the input value of the rear window defogger switch, select the "Body Control Module" option.
  3. To view the current input/output value of the BCM, use "Current Data". Provides input/output status information of the BCM and smart junction box.
  4. To inspect the input value of the rear window defogger switch in forced mode, select the "Smart Junction Box Operation Test" option.

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the heater and A/C control unit. (Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "Heater and A/C Control Unit (Manual)".) (Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "Heater and A/C Control Unit (DATC)".)

Installation

  1. Install the heater and A/C control unit.
  2. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
