Manual Operation
MANUAL Seat Operation: The seat must be operated by the MANUAL SEAT switch input. SLIDE, RECLINE, front/rear HEIGHT and rear right HEIGHT are available for manual operation with IGN2 ON, regardless of ECU B+ OFF.
MEMORY storage operation
Memory Storage Enable: This process is enabled when the IGN2 switch = ON, the "P" position switch = ON, and the SPEED input is high (less than 3 km/h). 1 BUZZER output is generated from the IMS upon receiving DATA "SET = 1".
Memory Storage Operation: When MEM_1 or MEM_2 data is received via LIN communication from the IMS switch, generated by operating MEM 1 or MEM 2 switch in the memory storage enable mode above, 2 BUZZER output is generated and the current seat position is stored. (The IMS switch sends the storage command only if the MEM 1 or 2 switch input is generated within 5 seconds after the SET switch is turned OFF->ON, and the storage enable mode is cancelled if more than 5 seconds have elapsed.)
Memory Storage Requirements: MEMORY storage is not enabled or is cancelled if all of the following requirements are not met.
A.
Ignition ON
B.
"P" position switch is ON
C.
Input vehicle speed received from BCM is high (less than 3 km/h)
D.
Less than 5 seconds have elapsed since the SET switch was turned OFF->ON (determined by the IMS switch)
The SET switch must be available for memory storage regardless of the number of SET operations. (However, each operation of the MEMORY switch provides only 1 memory storage action.)
If a MEMORY command is received during Easy Access function operation or memory playback, the activation is stopped and the current position is stored. If the command is received during operation of the MANUAL SEAT switch, the position is stored at the point where the memory command was received.
Memory Playback: When "1" is received from the IMS switch via DATA PL_1 or PL_2 LIN communication, generated by operating the MEM 1 or MEM 2 switch, 1 BUZZER signal is generated and the seat position is automatically moved back to the position stored in memory.
Anti-reproduction: Memory playback is not enabled unless the following condition is met. The IMS will play back memory only if all , andare satisfied, and eitheroris satisfied."P" position switch is ONVehicle speed input received from the BCM is high (less than 3 km/h)SEAT MANUAL switch is not operating. The 1 and 2 IMS switches are ON when the driver door is open, or within 30 seconds after the driver door is closed.Ignition ON
Stopping memory playback: Memory playback stops if any of the following conditions are met.
A.
The "P" position switch of the local switch is in the PARKING position.
B.
Input vehicle speed received from BCM is high (less than 3 km/h)
C.
Target engine position not reached
D.
MANUAL SEAT switch is not operated. The BUZZER output is used so the USER can recognize playback by another unit, regardless of whether the MANUAL SEAT switch is in the ON position.
E.
SET switch does not operate
Other
If memory is not stored, playback will not be activated by the 1 or 2 switch and the BUZZER output is generated.
The last received signal will be played back if other DATA (playback command) is received during memory playback.
If the SEAT MANUAL switch input is used during seat position playback, the activation must be stopped completely.
If an ERROR occurs during SEAT operation, the memory of the corresponding motor will be cleared.
Motor Control
To prevent duplication of inrush current during drive motor operation, automatic drive motor control delays movement by 100 ms each, with the following priority: SLIDE > RECLINE > front/rear HEIGHT > rear right HEIGHT.
The drive motors operate in the following order during the playback process, with the DELAY TIME between each motor as follows.Operating time of each motor (excluding manual switch control): SLIDE: 20 seconds, RECLINE: 35 seconds, front and rear HEIGHT: 10 seconds, rear right HEIGHT: 15 seconds
Reverse motor control: If reverse motor movement is required during Easy Access function operation or the playback process, forward movement is stopped immediately and reverse movement will start after 100 ms.
If the distance difference between the stored playback position and the current position is below the nominal value, the motor does not operate regardless of receiving playback DATA. * SLIDE, RECLINE, front/rear HEIGHT, rear right HEIGHT: 12EDGE (6PULSE)
Operation stops when the motor reaches the target position, when using the Easy Access function or the playback process.
If the "BCM KEY IN" signal from the BCM and the "LOCAL KEY IN" signal change from "LOW" (KEY IN) to "HIGH" (KEY OFF) when the key is removed, the SEAT moves 75 mm rearward from the KEY OUT position.
When the "BCM KEY IN" signal from the BCM, or the "LOCAL KEY IN" signal, changes from "HIGH" (KEY OFF) to "LOW" (KEY IN) by inserting the key, it moves to the KEY OUT position.
Prohibition and stop of Easy Access operation. The following requirements are determined and monitored by the IMS. If one of the following conditions occurs during anti-operation or the operation process, it is stopped.
"P" position switch is not ON (If the "P" position switch is turned OFF during operation, the operation is completed.)
Vehicle "SPEED" data received from the BCM is LOW (greater than 3 km/h)
MANUAL SEAT switch is in operation
Playback command is received during easy access operation
"AUTO_SET" data received from the IMS switch has an "OFF" value. (If "AUTO_SET" changes during operation, the operation is completed.)
SET message received from the IMS switch is "1" during Easy Access operation
If the control is stopped while moving backward, the backward movement is paused and does not continue further. When it is resumed, it moves the same distance it had previously moved backward.
If the MANUAL switch is operated during or after backward movement, the seat moves to the KEY OUT position with easy access controlled by KEY IN.
Driver seat position memory recall conditions in the vehicle
MANUAL switch operates above Key IN
Memory playback in operation
The LIMIT position is set automatically as follows, for SLIDE, RECLINE, rear right height switch, and front/rear LIMIT switch.
Control is stopped immediately and the forward LIMIT position is set at 6 pulses if no more than 6 PULSE is generated within 2 seconds during initial operation with the MANUAL switch or easy access function after battery installation. (The LIMIT position in the reverse direction is the same as above.) However, the LIMIT position for front and rear height and rear right height is set if no more than 6 PULSE is generated for 1 second.
If a virtual LIMIT is set, MEMORY playback does not operate beyond the LIMIT to prevent motor damage by the mechanical LOCK.
If a PULSE is correctly input beyond the LIMIT in MANUAL mode or with the easy access function when a previously set LIMIT applies, the LIMIT position is updated.
POSITION ERROR is monitored during easy access operation, playback operation, and MANUAL switch operation for each motor.
ERROR caused by PULSE is not input. The corresponding motor output is stopped if an ERROR is detected during playback and easy access operation. The corresponding motor output is stopped if in manual operation.
The SEAT Vcc sensor is detected for a full 40 ms from less than 1 V. => Returns if the SEAT Vcc sensor voltage exceeds 7 V. If the SEAT Vcc sensor ERROR is detected during playback and easy access, all operating SEAT motors are stopped. (BUZZER output does not operate.)
ERROR Monitoring: If an ERROR is detected as shown above, it is considered to be caused by a harness open circuit or sensor malfunction and is controlled as follows.
A.
The BUZZER output operates when the playback command is received, regardless of whether an ERROR occurs.
B.
Easy access operation and memory playback are suspended. They can be reactivated with the MEMORY command after the motor malfunction is repaired, as follows. (When the SLIDE motor is repaired due to a sensor ERROR, the easy access function is available.) SEAT: 6 PULSE is correctly input due to the ERROR causing the motor position sensor to be stopped by pressing the MANUAL switch for 2 seconds (SLIDE, TILT) / 1 second (front height, rear height, rear right height).
Memory playback, easy access function (user option - default: easy access function control), LIMIT setting, ERROR detection and monitoring. Seat position detection: the seat position is determined relative to, not by, the absolute position.
