If the compass has not been calibrated, or the deviation zone number was set incorrectly, or you are driving in certain locations (tunnels, parking garages, subway parking, near transformer substations, etc.), the following conditions may occur.
- The display showed "C".
- The compass directions become inaccurate.
- The compass direction does not change.
- Some compass directions are not displayed.
- Compass directions are inaccurate during long-distance driving.
- Move the vehicle away from large steel structures or electric power supply cables.
- Turn on the compass by pressing button A.
- Check the zone number by pressing button A for more than 4 seconds until the current zone number appears on the display. To recalibrate, hold button A for 3 seconds until C is displayed. If the zone number differs for your country, set the correct zone number referring to "Compass Zone Setting" and perform the "Calibration Procedure" again.
- Drive your vehicle in at least 2 circles at a speed of less than 5 mph (8 km/h) until the compass direction appears. Driving in circles in a clockwise direction and in a counterclockwise direction is possible, and if possible, stop the operation of the windshield wipers.
- If the compass direction of the vehicle becomes inaccurate again, repeat the following procedure.
- Find your current location and the zone number of the deviation on the zone map.
- Press and hold button A for more than 4 seconds. The current zone number will appear on the display.
- Release and press button A repeatedly until the new zone number appears on the display. After you stop pressing the button, the display shows the compass direction for several seconds.
