BSD Unit Alignment

To accurately detect vehicles in the adjacent lane with the radar, the sensor direction and the vehicle travel direction must match. This is the alignment of the BSD modules. If this alignment is not performed, as shown in the illustration below, detection performance deteriorates and false alarms may occur. After a rear bumper collision or replacement of the BSD unit, the vehicle must be aligned specifically.

   After a rear bumper collision or replacement of the BSD unit, the vehicle must perform alignment of the BSD unit using GDS.

   Select the "BSD EOL Coding" procedure.

   Complete the alignment procedure according to the messages on the GDS screen.
