Oil Pressure Switch Inspection

Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between the terminal and the body. If there is no continuity, replace the oil pressure sensor.

Check the continuity between the terminal and the body while gently pushing the thin wire. If there is continuity even when the thin wire is pressed, replace the switch.

If there is no continuity when 50 kPa (0.50 kgf/cm², 7.25 psi) of pressure is applied through the oil hole, the switch is operating correctly. Check for air leakage. If air leaks, the diaphragm is damaged. Replace the switch.
