IPM Troubleshooting Using GDS

The IPM can be diagnosed using GDS. The BCM communicates with GDS, which then displays the inputs and outputs together with the codes.

To diagnose the IPM function, select the vehicle model and IPM.

To view the current input/output value of the IPM, select "Current DATA". It provides information on the IPM power input/output status, turn signal/stop lamp, headlamp, door locks, outside mirror, wiper, auto light, transmitters, etc.

To perform a functional test of the IPM outputs, select "Actuation Test".

To change the "User Settings" in the BCM, select the "User Settings" menu and change the value as shown below.
