Inspection on Vehicle

Inspect the Ignition Coil Assembly and Perform Spark Test

   Check for DTCs.

   Check whether sparks occur.

   1. Remove the engine cover.
   2. Remove the ignition coils.
   3. Using a spark plug socket, remove the spark plugs.
   4. Disconnect the injector extension connectors.
   5. Ground the spark plug to the engine.

      

   6. Check whether a spark occurs at each spark plug while the engine is cranking.

   If no sparks occur, perform the following check.

   Using a spark plug socket, install the spark plugs.

   Install the ignition coils.
